| Located in one of Katrina’s hard hit areas of
the city, the Deutsches Haus suffered extensive damage to its
interior, including kitchen equipment, furniture and historical
memorabilia. The costs for rebuilding will exceed $260,000.00
in materials alone. With manual labor costs, that amount could
easily double; however, in an effort to alleviate any additional
costs with manual labor, much of the rebuilding has been
conducted by its dedicated members.
As this organization survives on
fund raising and the generous donations from the many people
across the country. Please consider supporting the rebuilding
efforts of this organization.

Remember fondly teaching your
child how to Chicken Dance. Or perhaps remember having a good
German Beir after work with friends. Remember those moments at
Oktoberfest with your friends and family. Remember meeting that
special someone in the twilight of the Beirgarten. A safe
place where your children can go and socialize and have their
first chicken dance.
Maybe you are longing for those
days all over again. It's time. It's time to finally come
home. It's time to come to the Haus. Donate today for the
memories of tomorrow. Tradition starts with you.
We are asking four your
help. We need donations of you ideas, time and money. Everything
helps.
