Deutsches Haus Ladies Auxiliary

The goals for the Ladies Auxiliary are to foster the German culture, language, and maintain Deutsches Haus through fund raising for specific needs and projects and to enjoy each others company.  

We contribute to the scholarship funds of UNO and Ben Franklin High School towards students studying abroad in German-speaking countries. 

We host for the annual Christmas Party at the Deutsches Haus when St. Nicholas comes to give presents to the good boys and girls.  Through this we hope new generations will enjoy some of the German Christmas customs at the Deutsches Haus. 

Our socials are also dedicated to the purpose of forming new friendships, fostering German customs and traditions but one does not need to speak German to belong and have a good time.

 We raise funds through baking and selling of cakes during October Fest, plus other events and cooking meals to provide us with the resources to help achieve our goals.  

Our dues are $20.00 per year and you do not have to be a member of the Deutsches Haus to belong to the Ladies Auxiliary.  The Auxiliary was formed initially because only men were allowed to belong to the Deutsches Haus.  So we have remained true to our founders and allow women to join the Auxiliary regardless of their status in the Haus.
